Write to wuyuxai@gmail.com. One person reads it. Tell me which screen you were on and which number looked wrong, and it usually takes one reply instead of four.
Questions that come up
The monthly figure is a dash
A dash means the app will not stand behind a number yet. The line under it names what is missing, which is usually date of birth, salary, or a period of service. Transfer employees also need the date they moved to FERS, since that date splits the service into a CSRS half and a FERS half that get computed differently.
It says I cannot retire on the date I picked
Your dates are probably fine. CSRS has three voluntary routes: 62 with five years of service, 60 with 20, and 55 with 30. FERS has four. If the date you picked meets none of them, you would leave that month with no immediate annuity, so the app will not print one. The banner names the earliest date you do qualify for.
Two other thresholds exist, age 50 with 20 years and any age with 25, but they only open when your agency runs an early-out or separates you involuntarily. That is what the VERA and RIF screens are for. The home screen stays quiet about them on purpose, because neither is a date you can pick yourself.
My figure differs from my agency's estimate
Open the derivation screen and compare it line by line. That screen exists for this. Most gaps come down to creditable service (refunded time, unpaid military deposits, part-time years), which three-year window was used for the high-3, or unused sick leave. If a line does not add up on your own calculator, that is a bug, and I want the email.
CSRS Offset: which number is mine?
The one on the home screen is what your first cheque is worth. If the Social Security offset has not started yet, a second line shows what the annuity drops to at 62. The offset shown is the largest it can be. OPM takes the smaller of two calculations, and the other one needs your full earnings history from SSA, which this app never asks you for.
I paid and it still says locked
Open the unlock screen and tap Restore purchase. If that does not do it, write to me with the Apple Account email you bought under.
Is my service history sent anywhere?
No. The app makes no network requests at all. The privacy page spells out what is stored and where it sits.
I want it all gone
Settings › Erase everything clears what you typed. Deleting the app removes the rest, and there is no copy anywhere else.
Reporting a wrong rule
Every formula is tied to a section of OPM's CSRS/FERS Handbook, and the derivation screen prints that citation next to the number. If a rule is wrong or has been superseded, send me the section and I will correct it in the next release. Those go to the front of the queue. A wrong number is the one kind of bug this app cannot afford.
What Annuant will not do
It will not file anything for you or talk to OPM on your behalf, and it does not give financial or legal advice. It is a calculator, and you can check its work.
